Don’t leave your dog out this Christmas just because you don’t have a lot of money to spend on Christmas gifts this year.
There are plenty of inexpensive gifts that you can buy for your dog this holiday and treat them like “one of the family” with their very own Christmas gift under the tree.
I’ve come up with a list 15 cheap gift ideas for your dog this Christmas. They one that your choose for your pooch of course will depend on your dog and what they enjoy as well as how much money you really have to spend for the gift.
1. Box of your dog’s favorite doggie snacks
2. New dog collar
5. Food and/or water bowl
6. Edible Christmas card for dogs
7. Set of tennis balls for catch
8. Pre-made stuffed Christmas stocking for dogs
9. Rawhide treat
10. Cozy, soft blanket to lay on at night
11. Bake your own doggie treats
12. Flying disc toy for playing catch
13. Rope tug toy
14. KONG treat dispenser for dogs
15. Reflective harness for late night or early morning walks
Most of the gifts listed above will cost you less than around $8 and even some of them you can find for less than $5.
To get the most out of your money, try to determine which gift your dog may use or enjoy the most. For example, some dogs may not do well with a plush squeaky toy because they will just chew it up, but instead a rawhide bone may be better for them.
Also, consider what gift you may want to use with your dog as well. If you don’t have the room to play catch with your dog, then tennis balls or a flying disc may not be the best gift option for your pet.
Including your dog at Christmas may sound silly to some people (especially people who don’t have a pet) but it can be a great tradition and a nice way to include the pet you love into your holiday celebration. And best of all you don’t have to spend a ton of money on a Christmas gift for your dog and they will most likely enjoy just about anything you give them.
